Writing Term 3

I am learning how to write more than one idea with details related to the topic.

We have been curious about our classroom frog and decided to find out a bit more about him.  We have created word clouds to show some of the things we have learned.

"I can write lots of interesting things about frogs.  I liked the stories about frogs.  I think my frog looks great.  I can sound out my words  when I am writing."

Reading Term 2

I am learning to recognise compound words.

I will know I can do this when I can find compound words in the story.

"I can find compound words in the big book and in my reader too.  I like writing compound words on my whiteboard.  I like playing the compound word game on the ipad."
