I was learning to write a persuasive text.  Now I know how to convince a person to do something by giving them a reason.

Reflection

I was learning to tell the time.  Now I know that in between each number there is five minutes. It was tricky because it was new and we didn't understand it very properly.

I can put myself in the character's shoes to help me understand him or her.

Reflection
I was learning to give character traits. Now I know how to use quotes to describe characters. It was tricky because there is a lot of information.

I was learning to make equal shares. Now I know how to divide big numbers over 10 by
using repeated addition. It was tricky because we had to use big numbers and it was very confusing.

I was learning to  use direct speech. Now I know how to direct speech after quotation marks
It was easy because I knew how to use direct speech before.

Making and justifying Inferences

I was learning about Inferences. I know I have to find clues like what they do and say. I use picture clues too.  It was easy because we could look at the picture and then we can know how they feel.

We looked at a picture of Red Riding Hood and described what we saw.

Giving simple directions

I was learning to give and follow specific and clear directions.  Now I know different words for left, down, right, up.  They are north, south, east and west.

Features of non-fiction texts

Reflection
I was learning about things that are in a non-fiction text.  Now I know that diagram is a picture with labels on them to tell which part is which.  It was tricky, because I kept mixing things up because I haven't learnt about any of these until then.

Features of a recount

Reflection
I was learning to use punctuation like speech marks and direct speech i can put speech marks in the correct place. it was tricky because i did not understand much.  I also learned about sequencing words which are the words we use to understand the story better because we put it in order.

i was learning how to understand multiplication,now i know how to use my times tables because of groups, For example, 5x5=? we have 5 groups and 5 in each.

I was learning to make connections.  I learnt that connections are similar to something else. It was tricky to think about connections in my life because the words were too long.

Reflection
I was learning to show 3-digit numbers in tens and ones.  It was tricky to split the numbers in tens and ones because we used 3-digit numbers.
